Barren County Nutrition Services has delicious meals planned for the 2025-26 school year! Thank you to our hardworking cafeteria staff for always taking care of our students and staff!

Tonight is the big night! Come out to ATE and join us for our annual Back to School Bash from 4-7 pm. Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring a free meal for all of our guests!! Here are a few important notes for tonight:

* Doors will open at 4 pm (this is a come and go event)
* We ask that all of our guests enter through the main entrance.
* Information about Barren Beyond the Bell - Afterschool Programs / Childcare Centers will be available in the Library with Mrs. Amber.
* The following vendors will also be set up in the Library: Bluegrass Counseling, Inspire Counseling, Healthy Kids Clinic, Lindsey Wilson College, SOMA Dance, Dental Team, and so much more!
* Our meal will be served in the cafeteria
* Inflatables will be in the gym for our students to enjoy!
* Sweet T's Lemonade will be set up behind the gym for purchase!

Our staff is excited to welcome all of our students back! We can't wait to make this a special year at Austin Tracy Elementary!

Barren Co. Pre-K Students,

We are thrilled to introduce an exciting new service for BC Pre-K students, Barren Beyond the Bell Little Trojans Program! This extended service will be available from 2:15 PM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pricing Options:

* Monthly Payment: $210, due on the following dates: September 2 / October 1 / November 2 / December 1 /January 6 / February 2 / March 2 / April 1

* Quarterly Payments: $420, due on the following dates: First quarter payment due on September 20 / Second quarter payment due on November 3 / Third quarter payment due in January 6 / Fourth quarter payment due on March 2

* Yearly Payment: $1,680

Please note that this program requires a yearly commitment.

As we approach the start of school, it's time to start thinking about afterschool child care options! ATE is excited to be able to offer multiple options to help meet our families' needs. We will offer two options for our students that will be in Kindergarten through 6th grade (we will post information about our Pre-K childcare options in a separate post). Open Enrollment for the 2025-26 school year will be July 8th from 12pm-6pm at Austin Tracy Elementary. If you have a student that will be entering Kindergarten (turning 5 before August 1st), or you are interested in enrolling your child (age 3-4) in PreK this is the time to do it! Open Enrollment is also for any other student (PK through 6th grade) that would like to attend Austin Tracy next year! We will have staff onsite to assist with the enrollment process, give tours of the building, and discuss any, and all questions, that you may have about what we can offer at Austin Tracy Elementary. If you are unable to come and see us on July 8th, you can always complete the enrollment process on the Austin Tracy Elementary homepage at: https://ate.barren.kyschools.us/o/bcsd/page/registration Our parents/families have always been our strongest advocates. Many of our families drive from neighboring counties, and adjacent communities, because of the love, and support, their student has received from our faculty and staff. We may not have the largest enrollment, but what we can offer is a personalized educational experience where students are provided the support they need to learn at high levels.

Parent nominations for the 25-26 ATE Site Based Decision Making Council will close on Friday May 2nd at 3 pm. Elections will be held May 5th-9th via paper ballot. Ballots will be available in the front office and in the car rider line at drop-off/pick up.

Austin Tracy Stakeholders, It's time to begin taking nominations for Parent Representatives for our school's Site Based Decision Making Council (SBDM).  Being a member of our school's SBDM is extremely important, because it requires a collaborative approach to ensure we are meeting the needs of all students!  The result is increased student achievement, and living up to our school's mission!  Here are a few of the key characteristics of why our SBDM is important to our school: Empowerment of Stakeholders: SBDMs empower teachers, parents, and community members to have a voice in decision-making processes, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability. Tailored Solutions: Councils allow for decisions that reflect the unique needs and circumstances of the specific school community, rather than imposing one-size-fits-all solutions from higher authorities. Enhanced Collaboration: By bringing together diverse stakeholders, SBDMs promote collaboration and open communication, leading to better understanding and trust among teachers, parents, and administrators. Increased Responsiveness: SBDMs can respond more quickly to emerging challenges and opportunities within the school, facilitating timely and effective changes. Focus on Student Achievement: Councils prioritize student needs and outcomes, ensuring that decisions are made with the primary goal of enhancing educational quality and student success. Professional Development: Participating in decision-making councils can provide valuable professional development opportunities for teachers and staff, enhancing their skills in leadership and collaboration. Budget Management: SBDMs have a role in budget allocation, ensuring that resources are directed toward initiatives that directly benefit students and align with the school's goals. Community Involvement: Engaging parents and community members fosters a stronger school-community partnership, which can lead to increased support for school initiatives and programs. The parent nomination window will be open from April 21st through May 2nd.  Elections will be held from May 5th through May 9th.  If you would like to nominate a parent, or yourself, please complete an ATE SBDM Parent Nomination Form and submit it to the front office by 3 pm on May 2nd.  Nominations forms will be sent home with students on April 21st and are available in the front office.
