Congratulations to our BC students who auditioned and were accepted into the Southern Division Honor Choir, which will be held later this year in Memphis, Tennessee. Over 1,500 students auditioned from 11 southern states, and we are proud to have 7 of those members in our choir program! Congratulate these students when you see them for their hard work, and for going the extra mile to audition!

BCHS Trojans would like to honor our Veterans and Active Military for their service to our country in honor of Veterans Day celebrations this week. Please join us as we thank them for their service.

REMINDER Tomorrow (11/7/25) is the DEADLINE to register for the December ACT. This is the last recommended ACT date for seniors due to scholarship and application deadlines. Go to www.act.org to register.

BCHS students and families, we want to extend an invitation to any veteran to attend our school’s Veterans Day program on November 11, 2025 at 10:00 am. Veterans will be seated on the gym floor and recognized during the program with a reception to follow. If you need more information, please call the BCHS office (270) 651-6315 and ask for the JROTC program. Let’s fill the floor with our local veterans for this special day!

At Barren County High School, seven students have earned the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma during the 2024–25 school year. The AP Capstone program helps students develop the critical thinking, research, collaboration, and presentation skills essential for success in college and careers.
“We are incredibly proud of our students who have achieved this level of academic excellence,” said Barren County High School Principal Letitia Hughes. “The AP Capstone program challenges students to think deeply, ask meaningful questions, and communicate their ideas with confidence. Their hard work reflects the dedication of our teachers and the culture of high expectations we strive for every day at BCHS.”
To earn the AP Capstone Diploma, students must score 3 or higher in both AP Seminar and AP Research, as well as on four additional AP Exams of their choice.
